Idea Forge
Smith
August 2024 - May 2025 | Boulder, Colorado
As a smith I guided students in engineering and product creation through Global Engineer RAP by teaching workshops, including making hammocks, Bluetooth speakers, canvas tote bags, and more, mentoring craftsmanship and supporting prototype development. I also operated and maintained manufacturing equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, and wood shop) to enable one-of-a-kind project builds, while collaborating with faculty to manage resources, ensure safe equipment use, and track expenditures.
CU Boulder Computer-Aided Design and Fabrication Course
Teaching Assistant
August 2022 - January 2023 | Boulder, Colorado
During my sophomore year I managed a 19 credit course load while work as a teaching assistant for Computer-Aided Design and Fabrication. I enjoyed this course as a freshman and wanted to continue learning about this topic.
I assisted 65 students in designing parts and assemblies in SOLIDWORKS, led workshops to operate machines teaching hands-on skills, and hosted office hours for academic assistance and counseling. At the end of the term, I worked with students on there creative, open-ended design project where students were asked to redesign a product in there every day lives.
Engineers Without Boarders
Project Manager
August 2021 - August 2022 | London, United Kingdom
I managed a team of 5 to design a product solution for low-income communities in Cape York, Australia. We performed market research and learned that the most useful tool for them would be a eco-friendly blood glucose meter test strip. We developed this product through many iterations and presentation to judges.
We were awarded People’s Choice for the Engineering for People Design Challenge, out of 250 projects!
